Tennis Clinics for Kids, Teens, and Adults
Summer Session June-August 2020
- Small class sizes allow for individual attention to all students.
- Low compression tennis balls are used in all kids' clinics, allowing for quicker success and more fun for all students.
- Multiple age/ability grouping (ages 4-5, 6-8, 9-14, 14+) allows each student to participate with children of his or her own ability level.
Teaching Pro: Bob Phillips, USPTA Certified Tennis Professional
Free Next Wave Tennis Clinic T-shirt.
Registration Deadline: Friday, May 29. Late registration fee: $10
Safety Precautions
- To allow for distancing, a limited number of students will be in each clinic.
- Students will be distanced at least 6 feet away from each other (and me) at all times during instruction, drills, and drink breaks.
- To prevent multiple people from touching the tennis balls: Students will not be permitted to touch the tennis balls or ball baskets. I, alone, will execute all ball pick-up. Students will not participate in ball pick-up. Instruction and drills on the "serve" will be limited, so that students do not touch the tennis balls.
- To limit the number of people congregated at the courts at one time, parents will be asked to stay in their vehicles when dropping off or picking up their child. While the clinic is in session, parents may exit their vehicle and watch the clinic if they are properly distanced 6 feet or more from others.
No Racquet? No Problem.
If you do not have a tennis racquet, I will be happy to provide you with a racquet for the first clinic. At the end of the first clinic, I will recommend a racquet of the correct size and weight.
Racquets will be available for purchase at the clinic.
Miss a Class? No Problem.
If you have to miss a Little Grippers, Little Kahunas, or Juniors class during the Spring session, you may attend any Spring session class at the Greensburg clinic on Wednesdays as your make-up. Greensburg classes are held at the same times as the Murrysville classes.
Summer make-up classes can be made-up during the Summer session, only, and cannot be carried over to future sessions.
High School/Advanced Juniors classes are only offered at the Murrysville location, so there are no make-up classes available. However, high school students may attend an Adult Clinic class as a make-up.
All canceled classes will be made up. Click on "Make-up Dates" in the Tennis Clinics menu bar, above, for more info.
Private Lessons and Group Lessons are also available. Contact Bob at 814-659-4908.
