Weekly Tennis Clinics for Kids, Teens, High School, and Adults
Fall Session, August-October 2025
Small class sizes allow for individual attention to all students.
- Low compression tennis balls are used in all kids' clinics for ages 4-12, allowing for quicker success and more fun for all students.
- Multiple age/ability grouping (ages 4-5, 6-8, 9-14, 14+) allows each student to participate with children of their ability level.
- No rain-outs! In the event of rain, the clinics will be held indoors at the Murrrysville Racquet Club.
Teaching Pro: Bob Phillips, USPTA Certified Tennis Professional
Limit: 10 students per class.
No Racquet? No Problem.
If you do not have a tennis racquet, I will gladly provide a racquet for the first clinic. After the first clinic class, I will recommend the correct size and weight racquet. New and Used Racquets will be available for purchase at the clinic.
Miss a Class? No Problem. If you must miss a class, you may attend another Fall session class as your makeup. For example, if you miss your Tuesday class, you can attend any Wednesday class as your make-up.
Clinic classes that are canceled because of inclement weather (or other reasons) will be made up. Click on "Make-up Dates" in the Tennis Clinics menu bar, above, for the make-up class schedule.
Refund Policy: You may cancel your registration and receive a full refund at any time up to the start of the first clinic class.

WEEKLY CLINIC CLASSES
Little Grippers (Ages 4-5)
Based on fun! This class includes instruction, drills, and games that help develop hand-eye coordination, motor skills, and racquet skills in young players. The class is designed to build each student's confidence and self-esteem.
Large Nerf tennis balls and large Red and Yellow low-compression tennis balls are used in this clinic.
AFTERNOON CLASS
Thursdays, 1:00-1:45 p.m. September 4-October 23 (8 classes)

EVENING CLASSES

Little Kahunas (Ages 6-8)
Based on fun! This class includes instruction, drills, and games designed to develop agility, hand-eye coordination, and basic tennis skills in young players. Emphasis on racquet preparation, ball contact point, and serving skills. Each class provides 20-30 minutes of aerobic activity and is designed to build each student's confidence and self-esteem.
Low-pressure Red and Yellow tennis balls are used in this clinic.
AFTER SCHOOL CLASS
Tuesdays, 4:00-5:00 p.m. September 2-October 21 (8 classes)

Junior Beginner (Ages 9-11)
For the beginner-level Junior player. Consists of instruction and drills that develop sound stroke techniques and proper footwork. Emphasis on serve, return, stroke production, movement, and "live-ball" rallying. All drills simulate match situations. Match play will be introduced.
Low-pressure Orange and Yellow tennis balls are used in this clinic.

Junior Intermediate (Ages 9-12)

High School/Advanced Juniors (Ages 13+)
Advanced training that consists of instruction and drills that help to develop the all-around skills of the high school player and those players who will begin their freshman year on the high school tennis team. Instruction on stroke technique, specialty shots, match play strategy, and match play tactics. All drills simulate match situations. Serve, return, and match play will be included and emphasized. Includes instruction and match play for both doubles and singles.

Mondays, 6:15-8:15 p.m. August 18- October 20. (9 classes). No class on Labor Day, September 1.

ADULT CLINICS
A fun, fast-moving clinic that will take your game to the next level! Emphasis on proper stroke technique, specialty shots, and match strategy and tactics. All drills simulate tennis match situations. Includes instruction and match play in both doubles and singles.
